Research Zero G Hardware Firmware Physics

As a research assistant I wrote the software and modified the hardware for a pool-boiling heat transfer experiment that flew on NASA's reduced-gravity aircraft. The experiment had to run itself through each parabola, so the job was making it fully automatic and robust enough to survive a plane that spends its day climbing and diving.
That also meant I got to fly. Lots of time to enjoy the zero-g between data runs. The results were published: Heater size and heater aspect ratio effects on subcooled pool boiling heat transfer in low-g, in Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science.
